My Experience - Beware of the home inspectors who take a 2 Day "crash course," pay thirty bucks for a license and think of themselves as an expert in their field. When they come across something they're not familiar with, they give you a SWEG (Scientific Wild Eyed Guess). To top it off, they exaggerate the problem to the client, who then runs to get sympathy from the nearest Realtor (not you!). I am a real estate investor who has purchased and sold over 100 properties since 1993. I know the importance of bringing a property to the closing table. As a General Contractor, I know what is involved in repairs. I have also supervised the rehabbing of several properties so there is no unfamiliar territory to me here in Central Florida.
